Orange County Government’s Critical Facilities Damage Assessment Dashboard

As a GIS intern at Orange County Government, I created the Critical Facilities Damage Assessment Dashboard as a tool that the Emergency Management team can use to visually track and manage damage sustained by critical infrastructure and facilities after a hurricane or other natural disaster. The dashboard makes it easy for officials and emergency responders to assess impact severity, and coordinate response and recovery operations efficiently. Users can click on a facility to view a detailed damage report as recorded by a field map user or filter facilities by district and functionality. The dashboard includes a legend to indicate operational status, as well as a Most Recent tab that shows recent updates to the facilities. The dashboard is fully interactive, integrates with a Field Maps data collection app, and is designed with custom pop-ups and coding enhancements for a user-friendly experience beyond the attribute table view.
